چکیده
Employing a linear shallow water equation (LSWE) model in the spherical coordinates, this paper investigates tsunami waves generated by atmospheric pressure shock due to explosion of submarine volcano Hunga Tonga–Hunga Ha'apai on 15 January 2022. Using selected 59 records Pacific Ocean, an empirical is first constructed. Applying and realistic bathymetric data LSWE model, generation propagation are simulated Ocean. The numerical results show clearly co-existence leading locked waves, propagating with speed (∼1,100 km/hr), trailing free long gravity ocean wave celerity (∼750 km/hr). During event, tsunamis were reported 41 Deep-ocean Assessment Reporting Tsunamis (DART) buoys which require corrections because occurrence waves. numerically arrival time amplitudes crest trough compare reasonably well corrected DART measurements. comparisons for less satisfactory, since could also have been other mechanisms, not considered present scattering over changing bathymetry. In regard, that deep Tonga trench (∼10 km) amplifies Southeast part Ocean via Proudman resonance condition.

Tsunami wave generation by the eruption of underwater volcano
Eruption of volcanoes represents one of important origins of tsunami waves and is responsible for most catastrophic tsunami (Krakatau, 1883; Thira, BC). The products of volcano eruption include solids, liquids (lava) and gases. The present article presents hydrodynamic model of relatively slow process of eruption, with domination of liquids. The process of underwater eruption of lava causes the...
متن کاملInflation from Tsunami-waves
We investigate inflation driven by the evolution of highly excited quantum states within the framework of out of equilibrium field dynamics. These states are characterized by a nonperturbatively large number of quanta in a band of momenta but with vanishing expectation value of the scalar field. They represent the situation in which initially a non-perturbatively large energy density is localiz...
متن کاملDynamics of tsunami waves
The life of a tsunami is usually divided into three phases: the generation (tsunami source), the propagation and the inundation. Each phase is complex and often described separately. A brief description of each phase is given. Model problems are identified. Their formulation is given. While some of these problems can be solved analytically, most require numerical techniques. The inundation phas...
متن کاملWakefield Acceleration by Radiation Pressure in Relativistic Shock Waves
A particle acceleration mechanism by radiation pressure of precursor waves in a relativistic shock is studied. For a relativistic, perpendicular shock with the upstream bulk Lorentz factor of γ1 ≫ 1, large amplitude electromagnetic (light) waves are known to be excited in the shock front due to the synchrotron maser instability, and those waves can propagate towards upstream as precursor waves....
متن کاملModulation of Atmospheric Nonisothermality and Wind Shears on the Propagation of Seismic Tsunami-Excited Gravity Waves
We study the modulation of atmospheric nonisothermality and wind shears on the propagation of seismic tsunami-excited gravity waves by virtue of the vertical wavenumber, m (with its imaginary and real parts, mi and mr, respectively), within a correlated characteristic range of tsunami wave periods in tens of minutes. A generalized dispersion relation of inertio-acoustic-gravity (IAG) waves is o...
